Bangladesh, a developing country with its trends of fast growing GDP which is more than 7% per annum, and has set a target to achieve the SDGs by 2030. In the process of achieving the SDGs, Bangladesh has been implementing some fast track mega projects through the PPA (public private partnership); and being the long and trusted development partner, the NGOs are working together. The main focus of the NGOs is to bring out the marginalized people, especially the disadvantaged women, from their extreme poverty situation by ensuring their access to economic activities for sustainable and secured livelihood. DISA, since its inception in 1993, has been contributing in the process of poverty alleviation through economic activities, women empowerment, skills training for the youth, education, social entrepreneurship, and initiatives to social developments issues of Bangladesh. DISA, having a glorious foot-prints in the development sector of Bangladesh, has been competent to prove its uniqueness through its Vision and Mission statements in the arena of NGOs community.
