JOB PURPOSE
Battling the misconceptions, enhancing the brand image & creating positive perception about BRAC Microfinance through utilising various platforms & channels among the social media users of Bangladesh.
Thoroughly upholding BRAC social media policies. Identifying the appropriate target group, designing new campaigns in different channels, coordinating content as per requirement & maintaining regular liaison with stakeholders.
Maintaining productive relationships with the content providers within the team and with all the units of the programme in order to keep up the regular visibility on social media channels, identify partners & awareness campaign opportunities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Engage in content and channel management.
- Coordinate the social media, online communication & digital platforms related activities working within the organisation, team and different units.
- Keep aware on latest updates and trends happening around social media as well as new products, operational initiatives of BRAC Microfinance.
- Maintain relationships with the central communications team & other relevant internal and external parties for content and campaign execution purposes.
- Involve in onboarding process of agencies and provide necessary coordination for campaign/event launching, media buying, paid promotions etc.
- Arrange and initiate processes for going live on different channels.
- Maintain and ensure strong surveillance to protect the privacy of the channels.
- Gather and organise informative materials on BRAC Microfinance to share global audiences.
SAFEGUARDING RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme’s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
- Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
- Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.
ADDITIONAL JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Knowledge of Microfinance operation policies & procedures, communication policies and procedures, basic Microfinance operational knowledge.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office and other additional communication tools.
- Excellent communication both in English and Bengali
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s in Mass Communication/ Development Communication/ Business Studies/ Marketing or any other relevant subject from any recognised university.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Minimum 4 years of communication experience with social media.
