Palli Mongal Karmosuchi (PMK) is a national level development organization located at Zirabo under Ashulia Thana, 20 k.m away from the capital city of Dhaka. It was initiated in 1988 as voluntary services of some local young men and women. It was formally registered in 1988 with the directorate of Social Service and later in 1993 with NGO affairs Bureau to receive foreign donations. It was initiated with the inspiration and leadership of Ms. Kamrun Nahar who is the Chief Executive of the organization.
PMK is a non- political, non-profit national NGO. It is registered under the following agencies : Social Service Department, the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, Registration No-02218, dated 27-11-1988; Foreign Donations (Voluntary activities) Regulation Act 1978 with NGO Affairs Bureau, Registration No-709, dated 27-05-1993; Register of joint stock company Registration No-S-7017 (205)/07, Dated 03-09-2007 and Microcredit Regulatory Authority, Registration No-00862-00387-00312, Dated-29-07-2008 and Hot Line No-16133
